Hey all!
Today was such a beautiful spring day. I spent the whole day outside walking, throwing around a volleyball, and playing some frisbee. I even got a little tan! It's finally starting to feel like spring/summer and I love it.
I made a ring again today, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. It's cool just like everything else I've made with the magical square wire, but I'm just not sure if I'm in love with it. Maybe you will be?
To purchase my creations...
Go to my etsy shop, www.adamandearrings.etsy.com to purchase any of the pieces you see on my blog. I tend to be slow on updating my shop, so feel free to contact me if you see something on the blog that you'd like to see on etsy.

Day 95
Hey all!
Today I had class and then a series of unfortunate events. I can't even relay them to you right now, my day was just not going well. Then I decided to make the best out of things, and coupled with some gorgeous weather and a successful meeting, the day pretty much turned around.
I decided it was ring time again this evening, mostly because I'm really tired and rings turn out really well with a lot less of a time commitment, if I'm being particularly honest. I also want you to know that this ring is weird but I am in love with it.

Day 94
Hey all!
Today I got a filling redone, or something weird like that, at the dentist office. I was wearing some earrings I made, and they commented that I should be an orthodontist because of my wirework. Serious? Joking? I'm not sure, but I took it as the dentist form of a compliment. And then I opened my mouth and let them drill my tooth. Fun.
Afterwards, I went to the mall and got a dress for graduation and some "working girl pants." I don't mean street worker pants, I'm talking about professional attire people! I was really excited to finally find some professional pants, because I really need to start building up a work wardrobe. Anyways, you're not here to hear about my shopping adventures, on to the earrings!

Day 93
Hey all!
I have an announcement. It may be kind of abrupt, but I'm giving you a few days to adjust. I made the executive decision to conclude the blog at Day 100. I am in a sense failing in my mission, but I have been really successful on this journey so I don't necessarily consider it a failure. As much as I like blogging, it is also a little stress everyday that I don't need as I finish up my last year in college and move onto the real world. I force myself to stay awake until I've finished blogging, and if I miss it then my guilt complex kicks in. It's becoming a burden rather than something fun. So, I need to stop. I hope you'll forgive me! We still have a week left together, maybe longer if I miss a day. I will not stop making jewelry, and I'll be better about updating my etsy. Don't you forget about me!
This morning I decided to announce to you my decision, and to pair it with a ring.

Day 92
Hey all!
I'm falling asleep as I write this, so let's hope for both our sakes that I make it to pushing the "publish post" button before I reach my limit.
Today I went into Boston to meet up with a friend. We had coffee and then walked around for a little while in a main shopping area. It was not a successful shopping endeavor, but it was a nice day. When we parted ways I went somewhere else to continue my shopping hunt, with no more luck than before.
Tonight I had dinner at a friend's house with a few other people. It was really nice to see some old friends, catch up, and have a good meal.
The earrings I made today are similar to the green ones I made the other day, because I used the square wire to make a frame on which I could wrap wire and beads.

Day 91
Hey all!
Today I went to a dressmaker to get measured for a bridesmaid dress. Did I tell you all I'm a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding this summer? Well, now you know! I should also tell you I got that internship I interviewed for in New York for the summer. Things are happening, people!
After the dressmaker appointment, which took all of five minutes, I went on a mall run with my mother. My goal was to find something to wear for graduation. I came back with nada. Better luck next time I guess.
I decided today was another ring kind of day. My magical square wire makes me want to make rings all the time.

Day 90
Hey all!
I didn't blog yesterday because I was sneezy and sick and didn't feel like doing any activity other than watching tv on the couch and sleeping in my bed. I'm feeling better now, it was just a cold, so I'm back in the world of the living.
Before I was so sneezy I didn't want to do anything, I went into Boston to go to an interview, a bead store, and to see a friend. It was actually really lovely until my immune system got mad at me. At the bead store I bought some nice silver chain and a lot of teardrop beads. I call this bead store my "pretty bead store" because it's where I go when I want elegant beads, not necessarily the place for funky beads. So I stocked up on pretty teardrop beads and some silver components.

Day 89
Hey all!
Last night I was tired so I skipped blogging. Soon I may need to come to terms with the fact that the original goal of my blog may not be possible. I allotted 35 skip days for a 400 day time span. So far, I've skipped about 16 and I'm only on day 89. We'll see what happens, but I may need to revise my goals. More on that some other time.
Today I helped my mother cook for our Passover meal, and watched a bunch of TV. Nothing to write home about. Then we had a nice family Passover dinner and ushered in a week of matzah. Ick.
I used some square wire to make frames for earrings. I then wrapped some wire on them and attached some of my new beads.

Day 88
Hey all!
Today I continued my fabulous New York City adventures before heading home to the Boston area for Passover. My friend and I woke up, got bagels and coffee, and walked around a street fair. We went to her favorite jewelry designer's booth, and I got to talk to her and get some tips. She suggested going all over the place to try to sell my stuff. I should go into every store I can, put myself out there, and I shouldn't be afraid to hear no. One really tip she gave me was that if there's somewhere I'd really like to sell my jewelry, I shouldn't pitch to them right away. I should go other places first and go back there later, after I've gotten more experience and feedback. If nothing else, pitching to stores gets you great feedback. She was really great and helpful (and she liked my earrings!). It was definitely a highlight of the day.
We then wandered onto Columbia's campus to watch some Bhangra dancing, and a few hours later I had to depart. I had a nice conversation with a stranger on the bus about books and traveling and work and life. It was a pretty remarkable weekend (and it's not even over!).
I am continuing the ring kick, and today I made a funky one. I decided it was time to play around with beads attached to my magical square wire. I used one of the fantastic red beads I picked up on my last bead store jaunt.

Day 87
Hey all!
Today I had a beautiful day in New York City. I'm stopping here on my way home from school for Passover break. I had breakfast, went to a gallery interview, and met up with my friend from school. Then I caught a train across town to visit my friend at Columbia. That is where I am currently sitting, watching last night's 30 Rock and blogging to you.
I made a ring for today, and it's simple but lovely. I am loving this magical square wire, let me tell you!

Day 86
Hey all!
I've been packing for passover break for the past half hour or so, and part of that entailed making earrings so I could pack my jewelry supplies. I used my awesome square wire to make some cool earrings and then took pictures of them. I then went back to packing clothes. A few minutes later it was time to pack my jewelry, so I searched for the earrings I just made. They were nowhere to be found. I'm not about to unpack my whole suitcase, but I did ransack my bed to no avail.
The moral of this story is that I have photographic evidence they exist and I'm blogging about them, but I think they've disappeared into thin air. Enjoy the pictures, it might be the last time these babies were ever seen.

Day 85
Hey all!
Today I finally got to go to the bead store! I had a delicious Thai lunch with my friend, then we were off to buy some beads. The coolest thing I got: square wire! The wire that I have always used has been round wire, and I didn't even realized square wire existed. It's hard to describe, but when I show you the ring I made today you will probably be able to see what I mean. It's a thicker wire also so it's a little sturdier. I'm really excited about it, so many possibilities!

Day 84: ANOTHER RING
Hey all!
Today I had a pretty silly day. I had class until 11:30, then sat in the gallery from 12-3. Someone has to sit in the gallery in order to keep it opened, so I just sit there and get homework done. The problem (and I use that term loosely) today was that I had no work to get done. I was just sitting there.
My friend came in to keep me company for part of it and we played bananagrams. We were having so much fun playing that after leaving the gallery we played it even more. I ended up playing bananagrams for 3-4 hours today. This was including an attempt at French bananagrams in French club this evening. Silly day, don't you agree?
For today, I decided I'd use some more of my silver wire and attempt another ring. I'm planning a trip to the bead store tomorrow so I will be able to restock.

Day 83: A RING!
Hey all!
Today I had to present the paper I've been tirelessly working on the past few days (and less tirelessly working on for weeks) in my Theory and Methods of Art History class. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least. I got so much feedback though that I'm getting excited about it, this could actually be a really great paper. Now I just have to get motivated. Once the presentation was done, my brain decided it was break. Technically I am not on break until I finish class on Thursday, but try telling that to my head.
I have boldly gone today where I haven't really gone before: ring territory. My friend recently broke her ring she bought in Israel a few years back. I said I would try to make her a new one, since it was only made of wire and I thought I could attempt it.

Day 82
Hey all!
I think I might need to stop apologizing for missing days of blogging. It's happening more and more, but I don't think missing a day should be such a big deal. I'm trying hard to make this thing last a year, but I'm finishing up college with a lot of work and a lot of socializing, and if I can't get to the computer because I'm making the most of my last few weeks here, you will all forgive me right?
Yesterday I had a really nice day. I went on a walk with my friend because the weather was gorgeous. Later, my friends and I went to our friends' a capella show, and then hung out all night after that. There were a bunch of people visiting too, which made the day even better.
Today I went to breakfast with my friends, then to Barnes and Noble for a couple hours. Later, I got coffee with another friend and had a volleyball game tonight. It was a really nice and busy weekend. I didn't get any homework done, but I didn't really need to get anything done and it was so so nice to give myself a break. I actually made earrings yesterday but didn't get a chance to blog about them, so I'm counting them as today's.

Day 81
Hey all!
Today I spent the first half of the day (as well as all of yesterday) writing a paper which I originally thought was supposed to be 7-10 pages. Apparently I made the 7 up, it was a 10 page paper people! Needless to say, I was stressed and crazy, pumping out some extra pages. Sorry I didn't blog yesterday but I was in the midst of this intense paper situation. I'm back now!
I had a big dinner to go to and help out with tonight, so after I finished my paper I was working on that. Then I hung out with friends, came back to my apartment where some more friends came to visit, and then cleaned my room. I guess it was a pretty eventful day. Oh, then of course I made some earrings.

Day 80
Hey all!
Today I spent most of the day working on my paper, but I did manage to waste a little time (would you expect anything less?). I also bought Tina Fey's book, which I am dying to read. As soon as I'm done blogging, that's what I'm going to do. I'm pretty sure Tina Fey beats sleep on my life to-do list right now.
The earrings I made today use the same gold rings I bought and used yesterday.

Day 79
Hey all!
It's 2 am again, which is not surprising but means my blogging is going to be a little rushed. I need to sleep, wake up kind of early, and get tons of work done tomorrow. I hope I successfully complete these goals... we'll see.
The earrings I made today use some gold rings I just got from AC Moore today. They may not be the fanciest rings I've ever used, but they certainly do the trick.

Day 78
Hey all!
Today I woke up early to finish the work that I hadn't finished the night before. I got it all done literally minutes before class started. It worked for this week but I don't think I can pull this last last last minute strategy again anytime soon, it was way too stressful.
The rest of the day consisted of class, job searching online, dinner with a friend, and a bowling game in the evening. It's an exciting life I lead!
I tried something a little different with the earrings for today.

Day 77
Hey all!
Today I went to Starbucks with the intention of doing work all day. Going there with two friends turned out to be a terribly misguided plan, and I am now trying to get all that procrastinated work done. Other highlights of today included an intramural volleyball game (which we lost but enjoyed) and celebrating a friend's birthday.
I skipped blogging yesterday because I was just so tired. I revealed to you my plan to make jewelry earlier in the day but I have not yet put this plan into action. Instead, I'm here at 2 am blogging from my bed.
Here are today's lovely earrings:

Day 76
Hey all!
Ah, 2 am, we have got to stop meeting like this. Right now I'm in bed, trying to blog as fast as possible so that I may get some sleep. New goal: make earrings and blog earlier in the day so I won't feel the need to rush, so I can stop feeling like the blog is the only thing standing between me and sleep. As it is, that's sort of the feeling I'm having tonight. Bear with me as I rush to tell you about my day and my earrings, this problem will be resolved soon enough!
Tonight was my gallery opening. We worked really hard to put the whole exhibit together and it was very successful. A lot of people came to see the exhibit, and many of my friends came and showed support. It was just an overall lovely night and I'm so proud of the way it turned out.
That's just a view of part of the exhibit, to give you a little taste of what it was like.
On to the earrings! Tonight I went simple and classic (well, my kind of classic). Top bead plain, second bead wrapped in wire.

Day 75
Hey all!
Tonight's post is going to be short because, let's face it, I need some sleep. Regardless, blogging is a pretty important part of my day so I am pushing to get this done before my head hits the pillow.
Today I was in the gallery for a lot of the day and didn't really accomplish all that much. Our show is tomorrow! I hope lots of people will come to the opening and it will be a lot of fun. It's going to be a push to get everything done tomorrow but I'm sure it will all be worth it, it's a really cool experience and I'm glad I got to take part in it.
Onto the earrings. Today I made some blue-green earrings to match the teal dress I think I'm going to wear tomorrow night.
