Hey all!
This is me getting back on track.
Have I spoken about my Curatorial Practice class here? I don't remember. Well basically I am in a class about curatorship and our assignment has been to curate an art exhibit (one last semester and one this semester). We have to come up with a theme, find artists, plan an opening, hang all the work, etc. The show is coming up this Friday, so I've been in the gallery a lot this week. I'm really excited for the opening reception because last semester's opening was a lot of fun. There's food and music, and I get to show off the exhibit to all my friends who come by. That's basically what I've been up to since I got back to school.
I've been busy with the gallery and homework so I've been slacking in the earring department. But now I'm back!
The earrings I made tonight started as red beads with a spiral hanging down from them. I was at a loss for what else to do, and didn't want to leave them alone because I was sure I'd used the same design idea at least 5 times before.
I started playing around, bending the wire thinking maybe I would just start over when I realized it looked really cool when I bent the spiral so it rested on the bead. And a new earring was born!
I am glad to be back in the swing of things, and now I am going to head to sleep.
Love and Beads,
Eve
