Day 69

Hey all!

Today we woke up to a lovely surprise.  The weather report said rain but it was sunny and beautiful instead.  I made tortilla espanola for breakfast, a Spanish omelette dish I learned about at my friend's grandmother's house in Spain.  We ate on the deck, making for such a perfect morning.

After breakfast, we went to Roanoke Island to explore gardens and trails.  Along the way, we stopped on the side of the road at an entrance to the beach.  It was pretty windy by that point in the day, but mesmerizing nonetheless.  I love the beach.

When we went to the beach yesterday, I picked up a couple beautiful shells.  Today, I used the shells for earrings.

The shells are a lovely purple color, with different stripes and patterns throughout.  The shells are basically identical in shape, but the variation in their color and pattern make them even more interesting as a pair.

I decided against adding other beads, because I think these shells speak for themselves.  Now I'm off to watch Mean Girls with my friends, rounding out a really great day.

Love and Beads,
Eve
