Day 33

Hey all!

That's right people, I'm back on track!  Well actually I'm chasing time.  Will I make it before 12?  No one knows!  Meanwhile I'll just catch you up on all that you missed in my life.

I had a nice super bowl day which included chocolate cookies and delicious guacamole... and friends of course!  Today I woke up early to finish all that homework I had pushed until the last minute.  I succeeded and even had time to eat lunch before class, score!  This evening I went with some friends to trivia night at a local cafe, and though we didn't win we did know that the Nile flows North and that Hispaniola consists of Haiti and Dominican Republic.  The scope of questions went further than geography I just can't remember them.

Shoot it's 11:58 I better tell you about some earrings, and quick!

Today I made a spiral out of wire, hammered it, then bent it to create a loop as the basis for my earring.  I hammered the bottom of the loop to hopefully coerce it into maintaining its shape.  Wire likes to bend and crimp, and I don't want that to happen to these babies!  I added a freshwater pearl to finish off the design.

They do encompass some of the same techniques I have used in previous earrings but I think they are a little different.  I used some of my favorite elements:  spirals, pearls, hammered wire.  I really like the final product.

It's 12:03 people... sorry about that!

Love and Beads,
Eve
