Hey all!
Today was a snowy snowy day. I love snow but I don't so much love the brown slush that forms on the ground soon after the snow falls. If you just keep your head up and look at the trees, though, it's great. So I looked up at the trees, went to class, and came home. Not the most exciting of days but it sure was pretty (again, excluding the slush).
I found some red coral beads the other day lying around in my room and decided to make use of them today.
I hope you appreciate my lovely sponge background. Innovative, huh?
I took a bunch of the coral beads, finding a range from small to large. I strung them, starting with the smallest and ending with the largest dangling from the end. I wrapped the wire back up the earring a few times, and that was that.
I don't usually work with red, mostly because it's not one of my favorite colors and I tend to design with myself in mind. I'm fighting this habit because, realistically, it will only get me so far. I don't need to want to wear everything I make, but I do need to be proud of each piece. I really like these earrings despite my color preferences. I'm glad I didn't just pass over these beads but instead challenged myself to incorporate them into a design.
Love and Beads,
Eve
